At its September 12, 2022 board meeting, the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA) named the 249 Regional Pump Station the Alan Rendl Regional Pump Station in recognition of his service with the Authority from inception until present.
For more than 25 years, Alan Rendl has been a community leader and tireless advocate for regional water issues as a Board Director of Harris County WCID 91 and as a Director and Board President of the North Harris County Regional Water Authority.
Rendl led the fight during the 1997 and 1999 Texas Legislative Sessions which resulted in the creation of the NHCRWA giving the citizens of North Harris County direct control over their future water supplies. He has served as the North Harris County Regional Water Authority’s spokesperson before community, education and business organizations.
On June 19, 2021, Alan Rendl was recognized by the Association of Water Board Directors with its 2021 Visions Award for his visionary leadership and exceptional service, including significant contributions to the Association, to its members directly and toward improving the entire water industry.
